Holy Communion Instruction
Because we believe that by receiving Holy Communion, God’s grace, love and forgiveness are available to those who believe in Jesus Christ, all who are baptized are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Because we believe that all people of faith regardless of age are in need of the gifts our Lord gives at the table, Holy Communion is made available to children at an age deemed appropriate by their parents. The pastor engages parents in a prayerful consideration of the readiness of each child. Formal class instruction is offered when a child enters the fourth grade.
Confirmation classes are currently a two year program beginning in the 7th grade using creative confirmation materials. There are opportunities for young people to serve on mission trips and be involved with other meaningful activities that strengthen faith. The first year (7th grade) and second year (8th grade) instructor is Pastor Frank Podolinski.
